Today
we had to get down to work. There's so much to do! Trying to understand
where we come from, who we are, what we like about our lives and
what we want to change.
We
started with a game in which we reinacted our visit to the Governor's
house the previous day. Different people played His Excellency
and Cyrilji, and John, who had given a speech before the Governor
played himself but
read his speech in his own language. We had a blast. The entire
morning we were on our toes, running, singing, talking, and laughing
and getting to know each other.
We've
also created a new catchword: "PABAM." It stands
for Parvatiya Bal Manch, which is Mountain Children's Forum in
Hindi. We use it when we agree with something that someone has
said, as a cheer and as a greeting.
After
lunch we broke into smaller groups and tried to describe our worlds,
through drawing and story telling.

In
the afternoon, we received a visit from a funny little puppet
named Jokhim Chacha. He even had an MCF ID badge and said he was
very excited to join the children's forum even though he was 300
years old and had a grandson who is 100. He kept mangling PABAM,
asking if it was "problem?" or "pavan"
(wind).
