A new day, a new place. It was evening by the time we reached the lovely ONCG grounds in Dehradun where the conference is being held. That didn't keep us from playing blind-man's bluff on the front drive and sitting around practicing our English and French! with Kirsten, the volunteer from America who is helping with the conference. Then it was dinner and bed.
Press Conference : At a press conference earlier in the day for regional media, some of the organizers of the conference met with regional journalists to discuss the mission and purpose of the conference. Cyril R. Raphael, executive director of RACHNA, asked journalists to move beyond mere reportage of the event to thinking about and writing about what the children are saying in order to bring about real change.
