October 2008: We established our sangathan in August 2008. All the children of our village are a part of this baal sangathan. We have decided that we will hold our meetings on the 15th of every month and discuss what we were able to do in terms of meeting our previously discussed goals.
Firstly, we have decided that we will take up the cleaning of the village pathways as a priority as there is a lot of garbage spread all over the village. Also, as there are, a lot of pot holes along the path ways dirty water gets collected resulting in mosquitoes breeding. We have undertaken to fill in the pot holes.
There are two more issues that are very close to our hearts, which we would like to do something about. These are alcoholism and education for all. We firmly believe that our village will only be able to progress if all of us are educated. We would need the help of the MCF to give us some guidance towards meeting these goals as well.
