RTI success stories The MCF has focused on RTI as one of the tools to help empower the youth in Uttrakhand. The MCF has been supported in this endevour by Asha (SV) in a very large way. In addition MCF also provided training on RTI to the Purkul Youth Development Society and World Vision. Some of the success stories that resulted from the RTI applications filed by the children are listed. Narration: 2009-10: The Silicon Valley chapter of Asha for Education had formed an unprecedented partnership with the MCF to help young people tap the power of the Right to Information Act (RTI) to improve their communties. 2009: MCF sponsored a short RTI workshop for children and teachers of Purkal Youth Development Society in Purkal village in Sept 2009. 2010-11: Following the remarkable impact of last year's RTI campaign Asha-SV is supporting the MCF for another year 2010: The Mountain Children's Foundation Dehradun conducted a two day TOT facilitators’ workshop on the Right to Information which was hosted by World Vision Program Monitoring Office Bhopal. |
