Workshop Report

Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram, Gairsain, supported by MCF and sponsored by Asha (SV), completed 11 village level workshops within the budget given of 5 village level workshops. For the wider impact of the R.T.I program the main facilitator Mr. Sudhir Bhatt decided to dovetail the RTI workshops with other workshops being planned with the children through other programs in SBMA - Gairsain, thus they were able to gave training to about  443 participants.

To widen the scope of the program Mr. Sudhir Bhatt first trained 11 field facilitators of the SBMA team. Then the facilitators selected 11 villages where they would conduct the workshops. Each facilitator gave the base line survey training to 30 children and the survey was carried out in these 11 villages. After completion of the base line survey, two day village level workshops were organized in each of the 11 village. 308 Children and 135 adults, a total of 443 persons participated in these workshops and 53 RTI applications were filed.


July 11th - 12th, 2010 – The workshop was organized in Devpuri village by the NGO, SBMA, Gairsain, Chamoli in conjunction with the Devpuri Baal Panchayat. There were a total of 50 members.
