Workshop Report

July 18th – 19th 2010 – The workshop was organized in Missarpur village by the NGO, Adopt Management Society, Dehradun in conjunction with the Missarpur Baal Panchayat and Ajitpur Bal Panchayat. There were a total of 30 members.  
 The issues identified and forwarded to the concerned departments are -

The feedback received from children like Advesh Chauhan, Gayatri and Sonia showed that though the children had not heard about RTI but they were now willing to understand and use it for the betterment of their village and society. The elders of the village ,Shri Babu Ram, Shri Kanshi Ram and the Anganbadi teachers, too had not heard about the RTI but also took a positive view and reinforced the will of the children to work towards the upliftment of their village.


Oct 16th – 17th 2010 –
A two day workshop on Right to Information Act, 2005 was organized by Participatory Development Institute Rishikesh with the support of Mountain Children’s Foundation Dehradun in village Missarpur. 33 children from Bal Panchayat Missarpur participated in the workshop.
