Objectives of the Mountain Children's Forum

We must make people aware that this is entirely a Children's Forum and that children will run this organization efficiently.
Every MCF member should work in co-operation with others.
To try to spread out what we have learnt here at the first ICMC and to also spread the message of the MCF.
Every MCF member should set an example and should make others understand the true meaning of life.
To try and attain as much publicity as possible.
To make the MCF an equal opportunities platform.
To work hard in order to promote children in backward areas.
To make sure that every government school functions properly and to build schools where there are none.
To try and set up better creative as well as sports facilities.
To try and promote vocational studies.
To help disabled children.
To uplift girls in backward places all over the world.
To fight against all forms of child exploitation and abuse.
To fight drug abuse, alcoholism and to raise awareness about AIDS.
To tackle and to make any new issue that comes up a part of our objectives.
We must fight against poverty and unemployment.
To promote education for adults.
To work for the conservation of our natural world.
To compel the Government to implement passed laws and to look after the needs of the people in a better manner.
To promote peace and harmony in different regions and to fight against communalism.
To promote world peace.
To try and meet at least once a year and to correspond with each other as frequently as possible.
To mobilize or to bring together as many children from as many places as possible.
To spread the MCF globally.

Rules of the MCF

The age limit is 18 years and below. However, only for the founding members, the age limit has been increased to 21 years.
Adults may give suggestions. However, these will not be binding on the organization.
The members of the MCF will represent all the children of the mountains and speak out on their behalf to the Government authorities.
Members of the MCF secretariats both on the national, as well as the district levels, will be elected by MCF members.
No discrimination based on issues like race, caste, creed, religion and sex will be made in the elections to the Secretariats and membership will be open for all.
English will be used for any official paper work.
If any member does not abide by the rules of the MCF and does not carry out his or her duty as expected, he or she may be replaced.
